INSPIRATION/MORE IDEAS

As our music video is fun and outgoing, we wanted to incorporate that. We like the idea that Beyonce used in her music video 'Flaws and All' of how she acts silly and having fun, as if she is not being filmed and just being herself.
-we also liked the idea of how she uses the technique where there is one large shot of herself and five others aswell, each shot she is doing something different. This makes her music video unique and different although being plain and simple at the same time, by what she is wearing and the black and white effect.

PRACTISE FILMING

in today's lesson, we done practice filming, as we did not have the costumes and props for us to film the real footage.

Planning For Music Video - Storyboard illustrating our Music Video Idea

This is our story board that illustrates are previous idea for our ' Domino' video. Our idea for our idea has changed so as a group, we will be create another story board illustrating our new idea.

Below illustrates the story board for our previous idea:

FILMING?

During the half term, we didn't film because we changed our idea. We decided that we wanted to film inside and we had no where inside to film, so therefore, we have a lot of work to do when we get back to college! :(

NEW IDEA?

Mary told me that the rest group came up with a new idea as she felt that our music video might be too complicated to film. Looking at the storyboard,

Planning For Music Video - Artist Image For Messie M

Planning for Music Video- Video's illustrating potential camerawork

I have looked through various music videos that illustrate potential camerawork that I hope to incorporate within our music video.

Planning For Music Video - Potential Locations

Potential Locations
We made a list of potential locations where we film our footage for our domino video. We selected a number of locations such as;
- Barbican
- Camden Town
- The Green Screen room within college ( room 333)

We decided to use these potential locations for various reasons:
The Barbican - As we would contrast the grey looking, urban surroundings of Barbican and contrast it against the bright costumes Messie M would wear. We felt that the bright colours the artist ( Messie M ) would wear would stand out in contrast to the grey background.

Camden Town- As Camden is known as a colourful, youthful , yuppy place for my many young people, we felt the location reinforces the ideas of young people having fun , which is the message  we wanted to project throughout the song, as the song reinforces the idea of a girl being care free and living life.

The Green Screen room within college ( room 333)

Planning For Music Video- Pitch for Music Video

Group Pitch
Below shows our group pitch that we presented to the class using powerpoint. In addition , we had  our pitch recorded as additional questions and answers were asked and given to the audience. Through the video we were given many feedback and suggestions in ways we could improve our idea and choice of locations.

Planning For Music Video - Intertextuality Seen within Jessie J Videos and Videos of the same genre

Intertextuality seen within Jessie J songs
Many artists generally borrow elements seen within their previous music videos ie ; the style of the video , use of similar locations and use of effects used. In addition they borrow these elements to keep a sense of the artists originality within the videos. Also, to make it memorable for the audience watching to identify which artist video it is.
Jessie J -' Price Tag'
Jessie J - ' Nobody's Perfect'
Jessie J - ' Who's Laughing Now'
Intertextual seen within the above three Jessie J music videos.
The three Jessie J video's shown above , all borrow elements and conventions from each another. The screen shots below illustrate the conventions borrowed.
Jessie J - In blonde wig - ' Price Tag'
Blonde wig used within the video to portray the character of a ballet dancer
Jessie J - In Blonde wig - ' Nobody's Perfect'
Blonde wig used within the video to portray an innocent role.
Jessie J - In blonde wig - ' Who's Laughing Now'
Blonde wig used within the video to portray the role of a school dinner lady.
As you can see , the three Jessie J video's shown above use the  convention of  Jessie wearing a blonde wig to get into the role of a character other than just being the artist. The use of the blonde wig is used within the three videos and separates the artist from the actual character she is portraying. It also informs the audience how versatile the artist ' Jessie J ' is. The representation of the blonde wig used within the three video's indicate to the audience how often Jessie changes her signature look to portray a character. We can see that the blonde wig is first seen in the ' Price Tag' music video. In addition we can conclude that the videos ' Nobody's Perfect' and 'Who's Laughing Now' borrows this convention.
Little Girl 1 in ' Price Tag'

Little Girl 2 in ' Who's laughing now'
Both ' Price Tag' and ' Who's Laughing now' video borrows the convention of having Jessie J's mini alter-ego including with her music videos. The use of this shows the audience her progression from being a child to the artist she is today. The use of the alter-ego included within the music videos highlights the struggles she went through as a child and contrasting  her present status. The mini Jessie J alter-ego is added within the videos , to give the video a comical feel and bring a sense of fun to the video. It also gives her video a new audience being children , as children will be able to relate to the music video and the message of the song.
Use of Props in ' Nobody's Perfect'
Use of Props in ' Who's Laughing Now'
Use of props in ' Price Tag'
The use of props is another convention used within all her videos.  The use of props gives the video an extra sense of excitement , fun and colour. Also the use of props are used to illustrate the purpose and meaning of he song.

Planning For Music Video - Artist Image

 Jessie J's Image
Jessie J has a distinguished , unique style that makes her stand out from the pack of uniquely known artist such as Amy Winehouse, Rihanna , Lady Gaga etc... who are famously known for their signature looks. Jessie J is widely known for her black , full fringe hair , crazy lipstick designs and unique fashion sense. Her signature look promotes both her brand image and helps promote her singles/ album as the audience remember her because of her unique look. Her look varies from time to time ranging from long to short hair , colour extensions added to normal hair, bright coloured wigs to natural black hair.
This image shows Jessie J  with her signature black, full fringe hairstyle and unique fashion sense.  We can see that she is maintaining her brand image through various points within the song. In contrast to the image below ,as she changes into the role of another character. The effect of Jessie maintaining her brand image within the song helps promote her as an artist as new audiences can remember and recognize who she is. Both images are from the 'Price Tag' video.
This image illustrates how Jessie transforms herself into many characters within her music videos. We see that she changes her appearance, through the red wig , to get into the role of the character. She adds her own Jessie style to the character she is portraying  as she still keeps the same full fringed hairstyle and incorporates her famous coloured lips to the character. The effect of this is to still maintain her brand image.
This image also illustrates how Jessie has transformed herself and has taken the role of a lunch lady in one of her music videos. We see that she has distanced herself away from her brand image to separate the role she's portraying in-contrast to her usual image.

Artist nowadays have to keep reinventing their looks as it gives something for the public to look forward to and talk about. In addition it keeps the artist in the lime light. The effect of having an artist reinvent their look could be used as a publicity stunt. For example Chris Brown. Chris Brown dyed his hair blonde before the release of his F.A.M.E album which created much controversy but kept him in the lime light as it gained him publicity attention.

Planning For Music Video - Original Artist Website

Original Artist Website
I recently examined Jessie J's official website to find out how she uses her website to promote both her brand image and songs.
When you first enter Jessie J's official page, you are introduced to a banner which is seen at the very top of the screen showing the artist Jessie J. This automatically draws attention to the website as Jessie J's image is contrasted against the white background which makes her image pop. Also, as the image is at a larger scale it makes her stand out.  Her name is also shown using a large, bold font. Gold is used to show the artists name. The effect of this makes her name stand out and eye catching to fans. Both the fans/ audience are able to match the artist name to the face. Above the banner , on the left side of the screen positions a launch player that enables fans to listen to tracks from Jessie J's album. The use of this helps promote her music to her fans encouraging them to search the rest of the website.

Further down the website you come across two more banners. Both banners are direct hyperlinks for fans to purchase Jessie J's album from the official website or from Itunes. It is also an easy navigation to direct fans from the homepage to the the official store page where fans are able to purchase Jessie J products. The use of these banners help promote Jessie J's album to fans.

As you scroll further down the homepage , you come across Jessie J's official tweets. The screen shot below illustrates tweets made by Jessie herself and tweets about Jessie made by her fans. Within Jessie's tweets, she advertises her up and coming events that she will be participating in, as-well as: time , date and location on when these performances will take place. This enables fans to keep connected with Jessie finding out vital information they need if they want to see her perform. As Twitter is a popular social networking site used by millions , it will promote Jessie's brand image, songs, promote gigs / tour dates and find out the latest gossip.
This screen shot illustrates the actual Tweets shown on the official website.

At the bottom of the homepage shows easy navigated hyperlinks to allow fans to access Jessie J's official Twitter , Facebook , Myspace and Youtube page. This helps promote her brand image and songs even more through a variety of popular social networking sites which are all used daily by millions of people worldwide. Through Youtube, fans are able to watch Jessie J music videos and behind the scene footage of her making the videos. Like the official Jessie J page, Myspace , Twitter and Facebook allows fans to keep connected with Jessie finding out the release of singles/ albums , Gig information, tour dates and locations and keep up to date with Jessie J's style and the trends that are in.
This screen shot shows how the homepage has easy navigated links to record companies that are associated with Jessie J. This allows fans to get information about Jessie J through the various record labels regarding album release / album signings  , tour dates/gigs and the release of new singles. This also allows fans to see other artists that are signed to their record label.
This Screen shot shows information about Jessie J'st gigs, the location on where she will be performing , dates of gigs , who's attending and the availability of tickets that are left for each each gig/location that Jessie will be at. This is very informative for fans as they know where and when performances are taken place. In addition, the page has easy navigated links to the ticket page where fans are able to buy tickets online.
The Print screen to the left shows Jessie J's debut album ' Who You Are' .  The album acts as a hyperlink for fans as it directs them to a further page informing fans additional information about the release date of the album being : 27th February 2011. Fans are able to hear previews of various songs on the album and read reviews on what people tough about the album. In addition fans have the opportunity to pre-download and pre-order the album. This allows fans to have a jump start to hear the album before it reaches stores.
This second screen shot shows additional products that fans can pre-order / download. In addition it contains limited addition CD's that exclusively can only be purchased via the website. In all 4 CD's additional versions of the song are added to give an extra treat to fans. The page also contains various reviews from people on what they thought about the various products. The gallery page helps promote Jessie's brand image as it captures her different looks to her fans encouraging them to spread the word about her brand image and the latest trends that she wears.

Planning For Music Video - Difficulty Retrieving Props

Challenging Task
It was a challenging task for my group to find Domino pieces of a large quantity. It took many days of searching as we searched many websites. Eventually we found a good quantity on Amazon which contained 250 pieces per pack. We had to purchase to packs to ensure we had enough pieces. All together we have 500+ pieces. However, as we didn't have a budget we had to use our own money to purchase them. Overall I didn't mind much about the cost of the dominoes as it will help us with our project. After we've used the dominoes , we will donate them to the college for students in future to use if they want to incorporate dominoes within their music video.

Research For Music Video- Domino Tutorial

Dominoes
Because the title of our song is called Domino , I felt that it would be effective to incorporate elements of dominoes within our music video. I felt that by adding dominoes in the music video would connect both the images seen within the video to the song title and lyrics of the song. This concept links in with Andrew Goodwin's theory of the structure of a music video, through illustration the video would tell the story of the song to the audience.
We researched on Youtube many domino tutorials that showed people building many objects such as coke bottles and different images using domino pieces. I felt that was a creative concept to use to illustrate a image and contrast the painted image to the subject matter.
Below show some videos illustrating people painting a picture using domino pieces.
both videos illustrate different objects / images built up using domino pieces. I felt it is a creative and different way to illustrate a subject matter. Within our music video , were hoping to incorporate images that relate to the song lyrics . ie. ' take me down like i'm a domino' will illustrate a domino trail falling down.
Idea that has Influenced us
This video illustrates a visual illustrating of what we want to show in our music video. Our aim is to spell the world domino using domino pieces and use special effects to see it knock down and build back up again. This will quite a while to build and prefect , but i'm up for the challenge. With many practice we should pull it off. I'm gonna record videos of our progress of building up domino images.
My research expanded as I saw that many artist incorporated this idea of using objects to illustrate their song lyrics and narrative of their songs. Videos such as Bruno Mars - ' Just the Way You are ' and Wiley's - ' Numbers In Action' follow this concept.
Bruno Mar's - Just The Way You Are video uses tape strings to draw pictures to connect the images to the lyrics. I feel that it is a creative way to illustrate the lyrics as within the song title there is no link to tape strings . This gives the audience a sense of surprise and adds a fun element to the song as it gives a new element to the song and audience.
Below shows screen shots of the images seen within the video
Wiley - Numbers In Action
Wiley's - Numbers in Action video uses varies props such as signs , basketballs , balloons, big numbers and T-shirts that show numbers to illustrate the message of the song. The use of props drive the narrative and the use of effects adds a fun twist to the song. Within our video we would like to incorporate this idea of using a number of props to illustrate the song lyrics , but use a plain background so we can contrast the bright colours of the props to the dark background.

Planning for Music Video- Final Song Decision / Change of concept for our Music Video

Final Song Decision
As a group we listened and watched both 'Domino' and ' New York'. We took into consideration what Mary said but concluded that we would still go ahead with our first chosen song being ' Domino' but agreed that we would have to think of a concept to illustrate the lyrics of the song through a structured narrative. We collective came up with the idea of a girl ( being played my Messie M) on her way to meet her boyfriend. Along her journey , she ends up in difficult obstacles that leave her looking like a mess. Hence the title ' Messie M' for our artist. Half way during the lesson we began to draw a storyboard illustrating to the audience what would be seen within the video.

Change of concept for our Music Video
Me and Mary came decided to change the concept for our music video because we both realized that our original idea for our video might be too complicated to film.We came up with the concept of keeping our video more Domino related by illustrating the song lyrics with actual domino pieces. In addition , we also found a new location being our college. We decided to use one of the media rooms with the green screen as the room is set up like a music video set with lights, projectors, green screen , curtains etc... Also , we were more attracted to the new location for various reasons such as:  we didn't have to carry the heavy equipment with us ,as we could keep the equipment at college. Also if we had to re- film a scene again , we would not have to waste valued filming time by travelling from location to location.
The only problem that both me and Mary have stumped upon is that we can't find a store that sells a large quantity of dominoes. Hopefully as our search continues , we find a place that provides a good number of pieces.

Planning For Music Video - Change of Song

Thinking of Changing Song choice
Mary was having doubts that our chosen song ' Domino' did not have a structured narrative so felt it would be hard to have a set idea for the concept of the video. Mary suggested that we should change our song choice to Paloma Faith - ' New York' as she felt it had a more structured story-line and would me more easier to illustrate the story of the lyrics. As Paloma Faith song has an original video , it would be more easier for us to come up with a new idea that would differ from the original video.
As a group we have to watch both videos and discuss which video is best for us to use.
Below shows Paloma Faith's - New York video
Here are the song lyrics to Paloma Faith's - New York

The days were long and the nights so cold
The pages turn and the tale unfolds
He left me for another lady
She stood so tall and she never slept
The was not one moment he could regret
He left me for another lady

He took my hand one day and told me
He was leaving
Me disbelieving
And I I I I I I I I
Had to let him go

And it was New York, New York
And she took his heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She had poisoned his sweet mind
Mmmm

The wolves they howled for my lost soul
I fell down a deep black hole
He left me for another lady
She poured the drinks and she poured the power
Diamond girl who could talk for hours
He left me for another lady

Now I am on my own
He told me he was leaving
And I was pleading
And I I I I I I I I
Had to let him go

And it was New York, New York
And she took his heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She had poisoned his sweet mind

The greatest times
I don't want to hear it
Your new laughter lines
I don't want to hear it
The new found friends she introduced you to
I don't wanna know them I just want to be with you
Please do't make me go to
New York

New York
And she took your heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She poisoned your sweet mind

And it was New York, New York
And she took your heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She poisoned your sweet mind

She poisoned your sweet mind

Planning For Music Video - Analysis of 3 videos that have influenced our final planning decisions.

3 Videos that illustrate + influence my final planning decisions.
I came up with the concept that we should make our music video comical as i felt it was a more creative way to illustrate the subject matter of the song and illustrate the lyrics in a fun , creative , different way. I felt that other video's would follow a structured narrative but would forget to add a fun twist to the video. As Jessie J's videos are usually comical,i was influenced by the idea of comical videos and the elements seen within the videos. I showed my group the following 3 videos and felt that we could incorporate some of the ideas shown in our video. The following 3 videos were: Pink - So What , Lily Allen -LDN and Jessie J - Who's Laughing Now.
Pink - So What
In this video Pink is illustrating the different problems that she faces ie. starting a fight with her ex , starting a fight with the guy in the guitar shop and destroying the shop and illustrating that she doesn't need her ex to still have fun. The crazy scenarios shown are illustrated in a comical way through the use of props , added extras , bright colours and use of camerawork. In our video we would incorporate some of the camerawork shown and the use of bright colours to get the same effect. We would also use some elements of props to illustrate the lyrics of the song in a fun way.
Lily Allen- LDN
Lily Allen's-' LDN' video illustrates her walking along the London streets in a comical way as she happily skips along the pavement. As she passes one part of the colourful street an desaturated effect is used to reveal the ' real side' to London illustrating many negative issues seen within the London streets. The video illustrates modern day issues seen within the streets of London in a comical way. The concept within Lily Allen's video that has influenced me with my planning is the contrast between colours. The contrast between the dull London mise-en-scene in contrast to Lily Allen's bright red dress and converses.
Jessie J-Who's Laughing Now
Like Pink's - So What video , Jessie J's - Who's laughing now video illustrates a meaningful message of the song in a comical way through the use of props , added extras , bright colours and use of camerawork. In our video we would incorporate some of the camerawork shown and the use of bright colours to get the same effect. We would also use some elements of props to illustrate the lyrics of the song in a fun way.The video also illustrates this meaningful message of Jessie J laughing at the people who previously used to laugh at her in a simplistic , creative, fun way.

Research for Music Video- Copyright Clearance

Copyright Clearance
The two screen shots illustrate Copyright clearance sent to both record companies ( XL Recordings and Virgin Records) to obtain permission to use Wiley - Numbers in Action and Emeli Sande- Heaven. Essentially this was research that was  made in the summer but I forgot to upload the evidence. I decided to obtain permission to use both songs as potential songs to be used for my advanced portfolio as both songs were very catchy and both came out during the summer period. I thought that Emeli Sande's song 'Heaven' illustrates a strong message in a powerful way and I enjoyed the concept of the song  and the way she illustrated the song using a different
variety of people of different cultures and age. In comparison,Wiley's ' Numbers in Action' song was a catchy , fun song as Wiley used special effects and vast variety of props to illustrate the song, which I felt was quite effective.

Planning For Music Video - Letter requesting copyright clearance

Letter Request Copyright Clearance
The screen shot above  illustrates my letter of request to Island Records obtaining permission to use Jessie J- Domino for my advanced portfolio. As Domino was our final song choice and we were going to create a music video to illustrate the lyrics to the song, it was essential to obtain copyright permission from the record company in advance before using their product as we wouldn't be able to use the song without their permission to do so.

New Ideas

Me and Michaela came up with new ideas becasue we were realizing that our video might be too complicated to film. So we came up with an idea that we keep our video more Domino based. We also found new locations for the mv. We decided to use one of the media rooms because it is better for many reasons becasue it means we dont have to carry the heavy equipment with us, also if we forget to add a scene or something went wrong we could film again without having to travel and waste time.
The only problem now is that we can't find a store that sells Dominos that contain alot of pieces we need about 500+ dominos and we are finding it very difficult to find.

The Pitch

We did a pitch about our ideas in class. We understand that some of the things that were said in our pitch may not happen in the real thing. Here it is......

Wednesday, 12 October 2011

THE PITCH

todays lesson we pitched to the class the idea of our music video, this helped us as we got feedback and allowed us to know what the audience want to see in a music video.

AN IDEA

we, as a group came up with an idea/storyline for our music video:
A girl who is excited to see her boyfriend, along the way she passes many obsticles which lead her looking a mess by the time she sees him. hence the name 'Messie M'

we drew up a storyboard of our idea:

DOMINOS!

obviously as our song is called 'Domino' we decided that we did want to actually include them in our music video. Not too sure how yet but possibly spelling out something or a picture of something.

-Dan showed us a few videos of dominos on youtube and we really like the idea.

-but these were done by professional, which we could not do ourselves and would be very time consuming to create something as good as that.

-we wanted something more simple and easy to build with dominos, something along the lines of this video..

.. we want to spell the word 'domino' to emphasis the title of the song and incorporate dominos in some other way. (possibly making an image out of the dominos)

-then Michaela done her own tutorial of our idea of using dominoes in our music video.
we want it to be something similar to this..

it will look something along the lines of this..

and hopefully all the dominoes will drop continuously, letter after letter..
-if not then we will have to film each letter falling, then somehow edit them together, hmm.

P!nk & Lily Allen

Michaela came up with the idea that we should make our music video comical. She showed us a video by Pink called so what and we got some of our inspiration from there. For the de-saturation we were inspired by Lily Allen's Ldn (in a previous blog i said that we were inspired by another students video. Which we were but we looked at Lily Allen first). Here are the videos.

In the video she is being very comical. There are bright colours and many effects. We are hoping to go for this sort of comical music video. Of course we wont be able to cut down trees or destroy guitars form the guitar shops but there are some things in there that we could use.

As you can see when she walks past the colour washes away and the "real" london is revealed. I dont know how they did this or what the technique is called but it looks really good.

Ok! We got something

So today i told the group about the song change and they listened to the things i had to say and took it into consideration. But we thought about it and said that we could still do the domino song but we just need to plan it out. I think that was the problem, because we had ideas but we didn't know how to incorporate it into a music video. So today we decided to create a storyboard. We have the first 6 scenes fixed, but we still need to work on the rest and figure out who is acting what. We still haven't picked a certain location so we need to get to it quickly. We are pitching on wednesday so i will blog about that.

FINAL CHOICE

As a group, we sat down and discussed whether we wanted to keep Jessie J - Domino or change to Pamola Faith - New York. We looked at the music video for New York and didn't understand why it was set in a bowling place, we had the idea of doing a similar approach to the music video by having a girl and a boy love story type music video. But then we decided that it would be too similar to the original and wouldn't be very interesting, as it is a very common theme in most music videos.

So therefore, we decided to stick to Jessie J - Domino and came up with an idea for mour music video:

NEW SONG CHOICE?

Mary suggested that we should change our song to Pamola Faith - New York, as she thought that doing Jessie J - Domino wouldn't be that interesting as there is no storyline to the song. Whereas for this song we could have a storyline, but in some ways i feel that if we was to change the song, the storyline will be similar to this one, making our music video typical to the genre. This is something we will have to discuss as a group and decided whether we want to keep Jessie J - Domino or change to Pamola Faith - New York.

My favourite student video from previous years

I cannot find the music video but it's a song by American rapper Nas. I can recollect some memory about the video. It's in black and white and it's shot around London.

New Song Choice?

I've been seeing some posts from people in my group that we might be using another song by another artist.
Here's the video:

Deftones: Change (In The House Of Flies)

This is a music video by the famous Nu-Metal band: Deftones. They are one of my favourite bands and this song of theirs is one of my favourite songs by them, that is why I decided to analyse it. The video starts off in what looks like the end of a house party. The video shows people looking wasted and apathetic as if they were taking drugs. There's good use of Mise En Scene as the house looks scruffy, people wearing suitable costumes. There's good editing skills such as wide shots at the beginning of the video to show the audience how the place looks like, showing that the place is messed up, indicating that there was a party here.

Possible Locations

Here are some possible locations where we could film the music video:

Camden Town:

The Barbican:

City Road:

We decided to choose these locations because they are not really that far away from the college. Also, these locations look very nice and I think that they are suitable for our music video.

Paloma Faith New York

Change of mind

I was kind of think about changing the song we need to discuss it first but i think the song we picked is a bit to broad and the music video we were thinking of doing does not have much structure to it. I was thinking of the of the song New York by Paloma Faith.  Becasue it has a story behind it so it would be easier for us to make a video to fit that story whereas Domino does not really have a story behind it.
Here are the lyrics  for New York.

The days were long and the nights so cold
The pages turn and the tale unfolds
He left me for another lady
She stood so tall and she never slept
The was not one moment he could regret
He left me for another lady

He took my hand one day and told me
He was leaving
Me disbelieving
And I I I I I I I I
Had to let him go

And it was New York, New York
And she took his heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She had poisoned his sweet mind
Mmmm

The wolves they howled for my lost soul
I fell down a deep black hole
He left me for another lady
She poured the drinks and she poured the power
Diamond girl who could talk for hours
He left me for another lady

Now I am on my own
He told me he was leaving
And I was pleading
And I I I I I I I I
Had to let him go

And it was New York, New York
And she took his heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She had poisoned his sweet mind

The greatest times
I don't want to hear it
Your new laughter lines
I don't want to hear it
The new found friends she introduced you to
I don't wanna know them I just want to be with you
Please do't make me go to
New York

New York
And she took your heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She poisoned your sweet mind

And it was New York, New York
And she took your heart away oh my
And it was New York, New York
She poisoned your sweet mind

She poisoned your sweet mind
