Researching Ancillary Products - Original Artist ( Jessie J) Digipak

Original Artist Digipak

I decided to have a look at the orginal artist digipak and see what features were included within the overall digipak and how my artist 'Messie M' digipak would share some similarties with the original artist.

The front panel of the Digipak

On the front panel Jessie J's digipak contains a close up of the artist herself , the artist name in a bold , stylish font to make it stand out and eye catching to the audience and contains the name of the album , which is shown in a different font in contrast to the artist name. The album name still stands out against the artist image through the use of the white font. The artist image takes up majoirty of the front panel which makes her stand out and eye catching to the audience. Jessie's outfit and make up is the same colour scheme used for the design of the front and back panel of the digipak. 

Like Jessie J front panel , my artist Messie  M will also have an image of herself positioned on thr front panel of the album. The front will also include her name and the album name. It will share some similarities to Jessie J's digipak , but will differ in terms of colours used, images , design theme and the font types.

The inside panel of the digipak

Inside the digipak contains Jessie J's album CD. On top of the CD contians the following features : Jessie J's name , logos of record labels associated with the artist , Album name and an image of a heart. I felt the image of the heart was a personal element added to the CD as a personal from Jessie to her fans. I felt it gave the CD a personal feel , as if she's giving love to her fans. The colour scheme used for the inside panel is the colours white & pink. The use of the pink links in with the gender of the artist. Also , against the white background , the pinks stands out. The design of the inside is clean and simplistic as it differs from the loud front panel.

Like Jessie J's inside panel , I want to create a simplistic design within the inside keeping it simple but stylish in contrast to the front panel. I may include a feature that is a personal message to the fans such as the heart but may change the image. How Messie M's design will differ will be the coulors used. 

Back panel of the digipak

The back panel of Jessie J's digipak contains a tracklist of her singles , various website links to her official websites  which allows her audience to obtain information regarding the artist , the album etc... logos of the record label associate with her , barcode and copyright infromation. The design of the back panel is simple yet again in contrast to the front panel. The colour scheme used is black and white , which is clean , neat and simple. The font used is clear and at a good font sized.

My artist , will follow this same, simplistic design but differ interms of colour scheme and layout. Also, another image of the artist may be added or an image associated with the album name or one of her singles would be made relevant at the back.
