Production of Music Video - Day 3 of Filming

DAY 3
On the third day of filming , we looked back and uploaded our footage. We looked back at the domino footage and saw that the  footage of the ' word'domino was shot handheld and didn't looked steady. As a result of this we had to book room G02 again and re-film the domino footage.  As a group we went through the same challenges of the dominoes falling down before we anticipated it to fall down , but as we knew what to do to avoid this problem further we completed the image in due time. Instead of shooting the footage at a high angle shot ( handheld) , we decided to film the footage from a birds eye view shot using a tripod. This was to ensure that the footage and camera would be steady when filming. Due to he fact the tripod was extremely tall , our camera man Tharek had to stand on a chair in-order to see what the shot would look like and direct any changes that would have to be made.

After having to re- film the domino footage again , we went to film base tracks for the song in room 333. Both Mary and Tharek were the camera directors and shot  me ( the artist Messie M) singing lyrics to the song. Throughout the filming process I had to memorize elements of the song ie verses and chorus  and get into character. I had to ensure that I had I gave eye contact to both cameras aswel as getting into the song and moving around. Whilst singing the lyrics I integrated bits of choreography, as within elements of Jessie J's video's choreography is added for the audience to get involved with the song.

Through filming, I faced some difficult obstacles of memorizing the song lyrics , but overcame the challenge by filming shots of each lyric at a time , to allow me to have time to memorize the next verse.

Overall , I am pleased of what we shot as you could see whilst watching back the footage that I got into the song and made it my own. I felt that as a team. We worked well with each-other and achieved a good amount of footage we need for editing.
