Production of Music Video - Day 2 of Filming

DAY 2 OF FILMING
On our second day of filming we were more prepared and rearing to go as we were filming images made out of dominoes. We had to change our location for shooting the dominoes from room 333 to room G02 which was the drama room due to problems with the flooring . As the flooring was not flat , we realized it would be difficult for the dominoes to stand up straight without falling. We then found that the drama room had flat flooring and had a similar layout to room 333. which would make it easier for us to match shots together.

Following up my previous domino tutorial, I felt I was more prepared as I knew techniques on how I would connect all the letter together so they would all fall one after another when 1 was knocked down. Also, as I had additional help building the images I felt that it would take less time to build the images.

Whilst building the domino images, we came across some difficult obstacles. We slowly discovered that building the domino images were harder then we anticipated as it involved alot off patients , concentration and time. As soon as we were 2 to 3 dominoes away from completing the images the dominoes would all knock down one after the other and we would have to rebuild the images and trail again.
We had to rebuild the both the images and trail a number of times until we successfully completed the image. As time was progressing, our teacher Tony , leaded a helping hand and found it challenging to complete the images.

As a group we all pulled through together , kept positive and was determined to not let knocked dominoes stop us from accomplishing the images.

Successfully by 6.25 pm , we accomplished creating two different images in domino pieces. 1 being an image of the word ' Domino' and the other being an image of a domino piece. We shot the domino pieces fall one after the other using different shot types such as , worms eye view, birds eye view and a tracking shot , to have a variation of different ways we could see the domino pieces drop. Also , we wanted to contrast the dominoes falling from an high angle to a low angle.
