Planning For Music Video - Production Schedule

Group 20'S Production Schedule.

Below outlines our production schedule that we created  before half term , which highlights the date/ time of when we would be film , the location of where we would film, the equipment we would need when filming and the props we would use when filming. In addition , the production schedule briefly outlines what we hope to film within each day when filming.

24/10/11 12pm – 4pm	The Barbican	Tripod Camcorder Still Camera Battery Memory Cards	Chewing gum, Leaves , fake cigarette  / 1st day of filming. Filming consist of a run through of the first half of the song lyrics. Also shooting Messie M facing many situations when walking down the street. Eg. Stepping in chewing gum, smoke flying her face, falling through a hole. Lot’s of tracking shot used to follow the artist and variation of different shot types of Messie M.
25/10/11 12pm-4pm	The Barbican	Tripod Camcorder Still Camera Battery Memory Cards	2nd day of filming Run through of Messie M singing the remaining lyrics of the song in between the pavement in the roads of Barbican.
26/10/11 12-4pm	Mary’s house	Tripod Camcorder Still Camera Battery Memory Cards	Domino pieces 3rd day of filming .Filming consist of filming domino scenes of spelling out the word ‘ DOMINO’ using actual domino pieces and building the images that relate to the song lyrics using domino pieces to illustrate the song. Extras: behind the scenes footage
31/10/11 3.30pm-4.45pm	College	Tripod Camcorder Still Camera Battery Memory Cards	Domino Pieces/ 4th day of filming. Different location of Messie M playing with the domino pieces and singing through the song lyrics using different shot types.

However, we had to produce a new production schedule for various reasons such as :

-change of music video idea 

( as a group we agreed our previous idea would require a lot of shooting and editing for the music video to illustrate the narrative we wanted to show and look effective. We also wanted to change our idea so it wouldn't illustrating the typical boy liking girl , girl liking boy narrative.)

- was not prepared for filming and required more time to brush up on our ideas and preparation

We didn't want to rush into filming when we wasn't fully prepared. 

- availability of locations

Originally , we was going to film at Mary's house, but unfortunately her house became unavailable. We then decided to film in Barbican, but we didn't really know where in Barbican to film. We concluded that we would film in the green screen room ( G333) within college, but due to half term was unable to film within the college without adult supervision.

02/11/11 9.30am – 12.10pm	College ,Room 333	Tripod Camcorder Still Camera Battery Memory Card	Domino pieces Sellotape IPod touch Headphone / 1st Day of our actual filming. Filming footage for the introduction for our music video.  Footage includes IPod scene shot at different angles of the artist Messie M. Also, includes footage of extras which will be included within the music video alongside Messie M. Extras: Behind the scenes footage and on set Photos
07/11/11 3.30 pm – 6.30pm	College, Room G02	Tripod Camcorder x2 Batteries Memory Cards	Domino pieces 2nd day of filming consist of filming domino scenes of spelling out the word ‘ DOMINO’ using actual domino pieces and building the image of an actual domino using domino pieces. Extras: Behind the scenes footage and on set photos.
09/11/11 9.30 am- 12.10pm	College, Room 333 + G02	Tripod x2 Camcorder x2 Memory cards Batteries x2 Still Camera	Domino pieces Make Up 3rd day of crucial filming. Re- filmed some shots for domino scenes. Remaining filming time used for the artist Messie M shot using variation of different shot types and angles through 2 camcorders.  Filmed a run through of the song lyrics with Messie M dancing and singing the lyrics. Extras: Behind the scenes footage and on set photos.

As a whole, the filming process has been going successfully so far, we plan to do our last day of filming on the 16th November as on both 14th + 15th college is closed. During this time , we hope to begin editing the footage we have so far to see if there is any scenes we have to re-film.
