Planning For Music Video- My Own Domino Tutorial

My Domino Tutorial

I previous created a blog based on my domino tutorial but had to delete it as I wasn't able to upload my domino tutorial video. So here is the new blog.
I created this tutorial during the half term to practice using domino pieces to create words and images. So far I have only gone as far as practicing to build up words using domino pieces. I came up with the concept of incorporating domino pieces within our music video. I knew it was gonna be a challenge task that would consider a lot of time and patience , but I was up fort the challenge.

To build the title image , I used a space in my living room to set up the dominoes as I had alot of room to work with. I used the living room as the flooring was floor boards and would be easier for me to let the domino pieces stand up.
I then had to build my structure for the dominoes. I had to begin by building a trail to ensure the dominoes would fall after one another when one was pushed down. I had to ensure when standing the domino pieces , the pieces stood very close together , one after the other.

I then had to spell the word ' Domino' using domino pieces. I decided to use different coloured domino pieces to highlight each letter out . I had to ensure that within each letter , the dominoes stood closely together to ensure they would all fall when knocked down. I had to also make sure , that the dominoes positioned within the corner of the letter were slanted to ensure that the whole letter fell down.
The image above illustrates the word ' Domino' that I created , by using domino pieces to spell out the word. This picture is an example of what  I would like to incorporate within our music video to outline the song title. I felt that it would be a creative aspect to include actual dominoes to connect the song to the song title , and felt that we could split shots of the singer and contrast scenes with images of dominoes spelling words and illustrating images.

This video illustrates and narrates me producing the word ' Domino'. In the video , you are able to witness the visual look of the structure of building the word ' Domino' and the trail used to enable all the domino pieces full down. Throughout the video, I point out how I will make all the domino pieces fall time, the advantages and disadvantages and explain what I will do for next time , when I have to repeat this method for our music video.
The Picture above is the finishing impact of all the domino pieces fallen down. As you can see ,  the fallen pieces still spell  out the word ' Domino' , which is a great success , it enables the viewers watching our music video to read the world clearly.

When using this method within our music video we are going to ensure the following issues:
1. We have to ensure we use a flat floor to build our image out
, as using a flat floor will make it easier for us to build the image on the floor and easier for the domino pieces to stand up straight until we have to knock them down.
2. Ensure leave enough time to create the domino pieces.
It is vital that we spend at-least a day or two to just film the domino aspects for our music video as it will take the longest to set up and shoot to look effective. We also have to make sure that we don't rush or the concept wont work.
3. Patience is Key
We have to ensure that as a group we persevere and remain calm and patient when the building / re-building the image because if we rush the dominoes will  fall down when having to build the image.
4. Lots of space is vital
We have to ensure we have a lot of space for us to build the domino images if we want to build the images at a large scale.
5. Linking the letters together so they all fall down
We have to make sure that we carefully connect all the letters together so that when one letter falls the remaining letters fall behind.
