Editing Process Part 2

Today we continued with the editing process for our music video. Following up from what we did on Monday's editing session , we had to eliminate some of the base track footage we didn't want to show a variation of shots. We decided to randomly delete base track shots and see how it fit together. We then found that by doing this method , we were eliminating some good footage , so we had to start the process from scratch and eliminate all the footage that we felt didn't work well together. After this , we were looking at possible effects that we could use to give our video a polished look. We wanting to find an effect that would brighten up some of the footage , but felt it didn't look right as the footage began to look a bit powdery. 


To conclude our editing process part 2 , I feel our music video is still in the works for improvement. I feel that we need to add a couple more footage to make it look more complete and to add effects to ensure all the footage blends well within in each-other, so there isn't such as sharp cut when it changes from one scene to the next. In addition , I feel that there is something missing within the whole video. As the overall message of the song is about a girl being care free and having fun , I feel that more colours could be used to give the song that fun element. I think that we could add some colourful text ( not too much ) to give a the video a polished finish. 


The next editing session will be on the 24/11/11 , where the video should be near to completion/ completed :)
